Part 25: It Is A Beverly Hills Cop Joke

Gabby turns to Sam.

: Nope. You'll need more than gears to fix this here mess.

Gino promptly bursts into tears.

: No! I am ruined!! Is this the end of Gino's pizza?!

: Easy, Chef, ain't no call fer all that caterwaulin'.

Gabby turns back to Sam.

: Listen, Sam was it? I got a Scroll here that'll teach ya how to make the parts ya need.

Of course you do.

: Y'all just scamper off and gather what you need fer this Scroll. Gabby's got some rocks to hit wih this here pickaxe.

: A new Scroll! C'mon, Sam, let's see what powers we can unlock...



The powers of Metal and Amber, I guess!



And Sam should do some of that.



The mining wall by Gino's outdoor pizzeria has nothing really new in it: Metal, Bronze, Silver, and Mana. Still, it's Metal we need, so this is plenty.



The treasure finder also pulls up the usual Amber, Stone, and the occasional Onyx. And with that, we have everything we need.



Sam pauses to shake a tree. It drops... Musical Note Essences. We do not question this. Instead, we go to speak to Lyndsay.

: Hey, Sam! Did you finish a Scroll?



... welp. (doo, doo, doo de doo doo doo)

: Great! Let's complete this Scroll and then go tell Gino!



Sam is granted something called a Set of Axles, which are basically metal sticks of varying lengths. Let's take them to Gino.

: Oh, you finished! Excellent! Gabby, if you would be so kind as to explain how to use these wonderful new blocks that Sam here unlocked...



oh hey a tutorial I didn't miss these



The camera scrolls over to an empty rack that used to have gears on it.

: Then just connect up these parts here usin' gears, just like yer used to doin'.



At least Gabby is succinct about it.



So, yes, to connect gears end-on, we need metal sticks. Whoopee.



stick stick stick gear gear done!



And now the mill works!

: It's spinning again! The tour can continue! Watch as I demonstrate my magnificent flour milling skills. Then on to the tomato patch!



Gino tosses in a little hank of wheat.



Then waits approximately forever while the mill grinds around and white dust billows out.



And eventually he reaches in and pulls out a bag of flour! That is a heck of a mill. (It also spits out a couple of Organic Essences for Sam's magic pockets, because of course it does.) Now that we have flour, it's time to check out some tomatoes!



Sam follows Gino over to the tomato patch--



--oh, that can't be good.
